Welcome to The Lexington Cancer Foundation, Inc.
Founded in 2004, The Lexington Cancer Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization comprised of fifty women whose philanthropic mission is to create awareness and raise funds in the fight against cancer. We are also dedicated to improving the quality of healthcare for cancer patients. Currently, The Lexington Cancer Foundation, Inc. hosts three annual events - the Lexington Derby Ball, the Fall Wine Celebration and Auction, and an annual medical symposium. Funds raised as a result of these events, in addition to donations in honor of and in memoriam, are dispersed to the community through grant requests. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded and pledged over $1,000,000 to numerous cancer causes.

The IRS form 990 is an annual federal income tax return that all charitable corporations that are exempt from income tax are required to file. The figures in these statements are presented in accordance with IRS regulations, which in some cases are at variance with generally accepted accounting principles. The Lexington Cancer Foundation, Inc. is required by the IRS to submit this form each fiscal year. They are included on our web site in order to comply with IRS regulations requiring these forms to be widely available to the public.
